For a quarter of a century -- from 1958 to 1983 - Helen Greenfield worked as a teacher and librarian at 54. The thousands of students she worked with learned what her children, Jeff and Janet - both alumni of Booker T. Washington - knew: that she loved books, she loved teaching, she loved learning, and she was passionate about the ideals of justice and equality.
